Teatro delle Logge

The building of the Teatro delle Logge di Montecosaro has medieval origins, but the works commissioned in 1803 from the architect Pietro Augustoni radically modified the original structure. Over the decades, due to the adjacent Civic Tower, the theatre required maintenance work, including that carried out by architect Ireneo Aleandri. In 1875, a significant intervention was carried out by the engineer Ferdinando Laureati, who transformed the building. Subsequently, in the 1930s, the architect Eno Pelletti took care of the reconstruction of some boxes and the stucco decorations that characterize the theatre today. Unfortunately, the embellishments created by Speridiano Mattei around 1810 have been lost. Today, the theatre has three tiers of boxes, a small pitless stalls and a capacity of 98 seats. After its restoration in 2003, it started its own theatre season.
