Teatro del Trionfo

The Teatro del Trionfo in Cartoceto, located on Piazzale Marconi, known as bastione “Turchia,” is an imposing building constructed in the first half of the 18th century on the initiative of some local notables. It stands on the site of an oil mill, the demolition of which initially provoked disapproval among the inhabitants. It retains its original structure with three tiers of boxes, as well as 19th-century stage wings and curtain, and some elements of the ancient olive press. Restored several times, today it is open only upon request or during special holidays.
