Teatro la Vittoria

The Teatro Comunale La Vittoria in Ostra, built in 1863 inside the Palazzo Comunale, represents the evolution of three previous theatrical structures in the city. Originally owned by a condominium, it was managed by a congregation of nobles, who donated part of the proceeds to charitable works, such as the souls in purgatory. Designed by architect Francesco Fellini di Barbara, the theatre has 29 boxes distributed across two tiers and a gallery. Above the stage, with an opening of 5,40 meters, there are ancient stage machinery still in operation. Used mainly as a cinema, it was closed in 1980 due to inadequacy with safety regulations. After a long restoration, it was reopened on January 6, 1998 and today hosts prose performances, concerts, children's theater and amateur activities.
