Teatro Comunale

The Teatro Comunale in Caldarola was built in 1823 inside the Palazzo Comunale by decision of the City Council. It was inaugurated a few years later, during the Carnival of 1830 but in 1887 it was closed due to the deterioration of the structure. In 1901, a new theatre condominium was built in the same building, with the design entrusted to engineer Filippo Amici. Completed in 1906, the theatre features a new floor plan, two tiers of boxes and a gallery. The proscenium boxes are decorated with Corinthian pilasters, while white and gold stucco adorn the parapets. Closed again for restoration since 1980, it was then reopened in 1986.
